Graduation Headshot

I grew up in Juneau, AK until moving to Spokane, WA to pursue a computer science degree at Gonzaga University. I attribute my interest in programming to my involvement in the FIRST robotics programs starting in elementary school, culminating in my senior year in high school where my team won our state competition to qualify for the worlds competition in Houston, TX. I was never a programmer in robotics so I always thought I wanted to be an engineer until I took an AP computer science course my senior year of high school. After taking that class I knew I wanted to learn more.

I graduated May 2023 with a B.S in Computer Science along with a Minor in Mathematics. I recently moved to Woodinville, WA with my girlfriend in April of 2024 for her job. Currently I'm spending my time applying to jobs and working on a game project with a friend.

Full stack and game development are my two largest interests in regards to computer sciences. My senior design project at Gonzaga required me to learn React, which has now prompted me to remake my website. Although I have remade it again in Svelte because Svelte is awesome. I'm a big fan of pixel art and absolutely love fishing games (all the best games have a fishing minigame), so I decided to have a little fun with the design. Read about how I've incorporated these into some of my other projects on my projects page.

Outside of programming, I spend a lot of my time playing ultimate frisbee, disc golfing, and in the gym. I've been getting in some casual disc golf as a break from working on my projects. I also enjoy playing video games occasionally, but I haven't had much time lately for them. Some of my all time favorite games are Pokemon (specifically gen 4 and 5), Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Dredge, Helldivers II, The Forest, and Rock Band.
